History of Our Series:
This Series began in 2005 and started with just 5 events
mostly in the summer months. Since then we have grown to over
14 events, Midwest Sports Events first named it the "5 STAR Series"
for a reason. We work to maintain the highest of standards
such as: immediate results, low cost entry fees, computer chip
timing, unique awards, numbered bike racks, small controlled
waves, free training clinics, course talks,
high quality shirts, plenty of food and fun.
The Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Series is for those who simply just want to “get
fit” and have fun competing at each event as well as
throughout the year. This a perfect opportunity for BIG
SAVINGS on race entry fees, even if you are not
interested in being ranked at the end of the year.
How the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Series is scored:
1. You must do a minimum of 5 events to be ranked.
2. Choose any distance in any event, i.e., a run, duathlon,
triathlon or bike race.
3. We take your 5 best age placements from events finished.
We then total the 5 best placements to determine your
Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Series score.
4. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 athletes in each age group
with the best score.
5. Athlete birthdays from 5/11-1/12 which affect an age group
are moved to the next age group.
6. You can register for all the events at one time by filling
out the
Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Series form.
